 The Ministry of Sound brand is back with its Trance Nation series with a collection of classic trance anthems from decades past…
While it might not be a brand new trance nation mix with fresh new material, which is a shame as there is so much good new music out there, a new Trance Nation compilation is always a welcome sight on the CD shelve. I remember the first album in the series I had the chance to listen to was number 2 with Ferry Corsten at the reigns. I would single out that one compilation as the reason why I love trance so music today.
In the run up to the season where everybody buys each other toiletries and wishes them seasons greetings I’m sure a much better gift would be this little green CD case full of old tunes that shaped the trance scene. Like any Ministry compilation of the commercial nature there are a few dodgy suspects in here and the trance fan who’s been around for a while will have dozens of compilations with the same tracks. For the more casual music fan and fresh trance face this might here a good gift to introduce them to a few old tunes which shaped the trance sound.
A nice little warm up for them before you hit them with Solarstone’s ‘Pure Trance 7’ compilation, which is bloody excellent!
