You need Vincent De Moor - Flowtation & Gouryella - Gouryella in that poll IMO. I went for my number 1: Airwave.
See you, guys.

But still....
I think that the tune that change the house scene to the one we know
it today is Robert Miles - Children
he deserves the honor...

Flowtation & Gouryella sure are mint tunes, but again I voted Rank 1, not cos it was the first trance track cos it wasn't by a long long way, but cos when people heard it, it seemed to change public opinion on trance, and made it more popular, its still one of the best ever, children was good, but Airwave has so much feeling about it

you right about this one..
i also notice that it's change public opinion on trance - until that track
pepole didnt like trance and connect the elctronic music with drugs and
other bad infulance but this track make pepole to love trance music
and finally i can hear trance in the public without pepole looking at
me like i'm weird or something

I definately agree with the Robert Miles - Children choice....but I think another track deserves a mention:
Binary Finary - 1998
A classic track that has stood the test of time.......
Does anyone agree with this?

yeah binary finary is and stays a real classic, but you cant say that the breakthrough of trance depends on only one track.
Many tracks ...

To Me the breakthrough came with the Ministry Of Sounds Trance Nations, at last 2cd's mixed by ferry and oozing in quality, all of a sudden trance became popular with the mainstream crowd, and it made it easier to find, problem is that same crowd moved onto whatever they're told is trendy so 2000 they went onto garage and 2001 they're all into the shite rock where no talent is needed to yell over a guy thrasing a guitar and swear... sad people

I voted for rank 1 airwave, just cuz its my fav out of the list.

If anyone dj's try mixing

Rank 1 - Airwave (sunset chillout mix)
into the original Airwave as a beginning. I tripped my people out by doing this.

OK I voted Robert Miles because it is the mother of the uplifting/melodic trance we hear and play today. But I reckon Paul van Dyk - For an Angel had the biggest effect on the publics perception of trance. Smile

Just a passing thought, its gone now... Wink

CHEERS!!! Very Happy

the fact that children is still getting remixed shows that it is one of "the" best...

tilt and 4 children have done remixes.... tilts courtyard rmx is amazing Laughing

dont get me rong rank 1 - airwave is one of the BIGGEST trance tunes ever... but children was the creating of the genre "trance"...
