It’s the end of an era. After 14 fantastic years, Wales’ premier superclub
“Escape” is to close it’s doors on Northampton Lane in Swansea.
The face of clubbing in Wales changed overnight on Saturday July 8th
1995, with the biggest name in dance music Pete Tong launching what
would become one of the most successful dance music venues ever.
The award winning team behind the name and the rocket have
consistently brought the very best djs & artists from all over the world
to Swansea. But it is now time for Escape to evolve. And as they say,
great endings lead to….

Yes, Escape is on the move. The former “Jumpin’ Jaks” building is about
to be transformed into Dance Heaven, with a massive 60 kilowatts of
“Thunderidge” sound system in the main room, complemented by a
state-of-the-art lighting rig; the first of its kind in the UK. Video walls and
laser lights will add to the experience, and a world class line-up will
ensure that Escape is at the forefront of the dance music scene.
It’s Escape as you know it, only bigger and better!
