Emerging out of Urbana Champaign's improvised music community is FERROCENE 3, an ambient, avant world trio. A founding member of Nu Orbit and Straylight, percussionist Jason Finkelman embraces FERROCENE 3 as a vehicle to explore sonic manipulations of his organic sounds through laptop performance. Jay Eychaner adds his signature blend of textured electronic murmur with a fastidious approach to tone and Nick Rudd, founding member of prog rock duo Water Between Continents, weaves sustained tones and extended guitar techniques into the mix.

Yidam projects balance and motion using sonic atmospheres, deep dub drones and psychedelic chillout. He aims to create moments that provide the senses with vast open space. Yidam's integration of organic instruments adds a live element to the waves that send listeners floating through the stratosphere.

Onomatopoeia Wednesday weekly @ Dulcenea showcases musicians who create and experiment with genres of electronica such as: Ambient / Downtempo / IDM / Breaks / Goa / Psytrance

The music and environment caters to a loungy, laid back and conversational atmosphere leaving you free to delve into the soundscapes, the intricate conversations, or geek-out via Wi-Fi.

*Expect the music and environment to transition and evolve throughout the night.

((Come join us every Onomatopoeia Wednesday from 6-7 PM for an hours worth of Temple Style Tai Chi instructed by Josh Sheldon. Temple Style Tai Chi is practiced by the Shaolin Monks and is a very non invasive form of energy movement.
