~ Rena Jones [live] - Native State / Psymbolic shop - [Portland]
Rena Jones fuses electronics and live looped cello and violin seamlessly
to create a performance that is captivating and one of a kind. Rena is
an extremely versatile musician, who has worked with dance troupes,
award winning video games, for film and theater, and has performed in
live settings ranging from beautiful acoustic sets to traditional Eastern
music to electronic dance music. She’s an accomplished sound engineer
and string player that’s released three full-length solo albums, her
latest release entitled Driftwood
~ Shen [live] - Native State / Metapath Recordings - [Toronto]
Producing music under various guises and performing live for over ten
ears, Noah Pred emerged from Vancouver's underground with a
sophisticated sound and unique style. Since his first 12-inches were
released in the late nineties, his productions have received international
support, appearing on charts from renowned talent such as Carl Cox
and Laurent Garnier. Following a three-year stay in Montreal and
extensive international touring, Noah recently relocated to Toronto,
where he currently runs two record labels from his underground studio
headquarters: Metapath Recordings and Sentient Sound.
~ Asmadeus - Asmatronica / Liftmuziek / Native State / Chilluminati
A classically trained pianist from a prestigious music school in Ukraine,
Michael Lazarev has been producing since the age of 12. He founded
the 1st non-profit organization of electronic musicians on the internet,
United Trackers. In 1997, Mike established Tranceplant Records. With
tracks climbing the London radio charts, Mike created a unique electonica
sound, blending elements of classical music with glitch and trip hop. In
2000, Mike began working on a solo IDM project, Asmadeus, spawning
Shift Records. In 2005, Mike joined the Chicago music scene as a
founding member of The Chilluminati and a Native State label DJ.
