For Silk Sofa's milestone 50th release, we present a new EP from City Lies, entitled "Dream Machine". The name is new to Silk Sofa, but the man behind it is far from a newcomer to our imprint: this is the new alias of Blue Neptune, the Canadian artist responsible for many past ambient favorites on the label.

The title track, "Dream Machine", starts off with intriguing pad layers that build up slowly. More additional synths emerge as the track progresses, and the varying elements create a blissful and soothing soundscape.

"Hearts" quickly establishes a hypnotizing atmosphere with various background synths that enhance the overall texture. Later, a light and thrilling string emerges on top, which is soon supported by a unique and interesting synth that flows nicely among the other elements.

"Sunset" starts with a gorgeous melody comprised of lush pad lines. A tranquil percussion element emerges a few minutes in, which carries the harmonies of the melodies beautifully. Throughout the track, various changes to the pads give more detail to the already enthralling song.
