Gareth Weston’s star has been shining brightly in 2012 with regular plays on Armin Van Buuren ASOT some high profile releases on labels such as Vibrate and Aria Knights which have been turning making waves on dance-floors worldwide. The talented UK producer returns to the Digitized stable with ‘Checkmate’ a release we are proud to have on our stable. The original mix is tough uplifting trance with Gareth’s trademark sound throughout, driving bass and tech infused percussion are ever present leading the track into the breakdown which although uplifting is powerful enough to move any floor with its huge lead melody and the drop will ensure that no floor will be left standing still.

Label regular Ian Standerwick takes a different interpretation of Checkmate reworking the original and giving it a more uplifting feel, stripping back the Tech elements and focusing on the more melodic approach with some sublime piano harmonies squeeze every amount of emotion out of the original and when the break hits with a retro sounding Arpeggio then you know that this is the remix for people that like their trance with a sublime and pure edge.
