Post subject: Elek2ronik get Maximal at The Key - 12 May |
|
|
With the Dutch tourist board hosting the first Holland House family event in London, the good people over at Elek2ronik decided that they would join in all things Gouda and tulips, by inviting Dutch Bad Boy, Jaimie Fanatic for his first bashing of the London decks while getting Maximal at the Key.
Jaimie has clogged the music scene since he was a young whippersnapper of 12; sampling beats and spitting lyrics on stages throughout Holland. His passion grew, his music taste broadened and thankfully for us he found banging ‘bad boy house’! On the 12th May Jaimie will get Elek2ronik at the Key, with Maximal and 2 Phunked Up, where he’ll spin you into a mass of energy, keeping you from dropping below sea level. It is, however, worth bringing a life jacket in order to stay in line with current health and safety requirements.
The fanatically Fanatic Jaimie has blended hip hop acapellas and punk rock riffs into a windmill of thundering music in the US of A, Asia, Malta, Ibiza and Moscow to name but a few locations. Along his travels he has played to crowds of 50000 and was noticed by Pioneer, which means he now gets to demonstrate their toys! Music and fancy equipment all day every day! Nice!
During his career Jaimie has had more than 20 EPs released with an astonishing 6 of his latest being signed within 4 weeks. Pushing his sound through his own label “Groove Fanatics” 2006 saw over 35 of his new tracks released from USA to Dubai.
Keying down the beats along side Jaimie Fanatic will be the infamous duo of daftness and Elek2ronik floor hosts 2 Phunked Up as well as Mark Bowler, Ben Gomori, Paul Bingham, Tony Aggro and Matt Thomson.
Keeping inline with all things Dutch the Maximal floor will bring you another UK exclusive in the form of the Dutch production powerhouse of Rene Amesz & Peter Gelderblom together on the same line-up in this country for the very first time! Their phat, inimitable, electro-laced tribal sound has seen them remix and produce tracks for the likes of Cr2, Toolroom and Little Mountain Recordings, with their filthy remixes of Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘By The Way’ redefining the term “big room sound”. Chunky beats, euphoric riffs and huge build-ups – a sound that is guaranteed to rip any dancefloor apart. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Tickets are £10 in advanced so throw a clog over to elek2ronik@gmail.com or grab yours.
